Constitution:

60% timber (flooring residue).

30% recycled high-density polyethylene (shampoo bottles).

10% additives. Special additives minimise longitudinal expansion.

• Fixing. Face fix. Special screws must be used with an impact driver. 2 screws per joist. Fit SmartBoard decking screws (20 per board at 400mm centres, 26 per board at 300mm centres) through 4.5mm pre-drilled holes using a drill bit supplied with screws taking care to align the head of the screw flush with the surface of the decking. Screw position 20mm in from the edge.
• Subframe. Fit SmartBoard over double joist construction where boards are laid end to end. We recommend you use SmartFrame for the subframe.
• Span. 400mm joist centres domestic loading (commercial to be determined) .

When laying SmartBoard in a diagonal 45-degree pattern the supporting joists must be brought in to 300mm centres.

• Gaps. 5mm between sides and ends of adjacent boards,10mm gap against a permanent structure.
